The
Family Portrait Project
A project generations in the making!
The Family Portrait Project connects talented local photographers to
families in need of a portrait to display with pride.
Each family will have a selection of frames, sponsored by Jenny Ligon, Mortgage Banker, CNB Bank, to leave with a wall-ready portrait of your family.

Contact us today if you'd like to host a Family Portrait Project free of charge!
Why Portraits Matter?
Displaying family photos on the wall can have many positive benefits for children, including:

-
Sense of belonging
Seeing family photos can help children feel like they belong and are valued members of the family unit. This can be especially important for adopted children.
-
Self-esteem
Psychologists believe that family portraits can signal to a child's brain that they are important and loved. This can help children develop healthy self-esteem and confidence.
-
Sense of support
Family photos can remind children that their family will support them through life.
-
Connection to family history
Family photos can help children understand their identity and connect with their family's history by showing how they've grown and changed over the years.
-
Tangible value
Printed photos have a physical value that can make them feel precious and like family heirlooms
